Years ago when I started this blog, a few bloggers/followers stood out because they seemed to be people I could actually be friends with. It’s always amazing to meet a tumblr IRL and just click with them as if we’ve been friends forever. I feel lucky that this blogging platform has brought a handful of positive people into my life. This has happened with only a select few people and this pretty lady is one of them.
After years of following each other’s blogs we finally meet and it’s like we are childhood friends. I’m so grateful to have someone like her in my life. She is genuine, smart, beautiful, honest, funny, so much fun and best of all… my friend.

Ok my Chicago tumblr loves… I need your help.
It’s my lovely friend Sam’s birthday this weekend and we’re going ALL out. We will be spending Friday night in the city to celebrate.
Here’s where your help comes in. What are your FAVORITE places to go out on a Friday night in the city? I’m talking Chicago proper, downtown. And let’s scratch Rush street off the list. We want to go somewhere cool, fun - but not too crazy, music and dancing is a plus.
So… where are your best Friday night spots??
Sunday nights are always better spent with friends in my opinion. Otherwise I just sit around dreading Monday morning’s arrival.
Sam came over for some turkey chili & biscuits, wine and to watch The Walking Dead premier. The chili was spicy, the biscuits were baked to perfection and it was much better having mini anxiety attacks over the show with some company! ;)
Our ladies nights usually turn out fabulous - I’d have to say we’re pretty good at it now and that’s awesome. Now if only I didn’t have to go to work for the next 5 days…
